The answer to these questions is yes. It is possible to many of LTS students. It is a dream coming to Nathaniel Nolan Wetzel (and his parents), who enrolled in our class when he was in his 1st grade and needed special help. With a personalized lesson plan & teaching methods that fit his learning styles, we have made learning fun and had his attention. We have trained him not only in subjects he needed help but also in student skills, learning strategies, and becoming a holistic good person. He has worked very hard to master math, reading, writing, & science with LTS instructors, Ms. Feschler, Ms.Weiner, Ms. Andrea, Ms. Talia, Ms. Andrei, Ms. Austin, and Ms.Nguyen in the evenings and weekends for 12 years. From a student who fell behind, he got back on tracks, and became a straight-A student. He was a college Running Start at Seattle colleges when he was in 11th grade & attending an advanced writing class in UW. He reached 90% or higher for all AP classes, GPA of 4.1, SAT of 1,500. Nathaniel volunteered over 300 hours to help Ballard food bank and coach young kids in a robot club. He invented a robot that helps farmers monitor moisture in soil in WA. Nathaniel is one of 4 Seattle students who were selected to receive 2023-Ballard Elks scholarship of $1K and one of 8 Washington students who were chosen to receive Amazon Future Engineers scholarship of $40K in 2023. He is also accepted to his major of computer science in 11 good universities in USA. Among them, he chose Northeastern university in Boston and is heading there at the end of August 2023. All of Nathaniel’s and LTS instructors’ hard work for 12 years is paid off! Our teaching methods and strategies truly work! We are all very proud of Nathaniel!
